Gondwana Desert Route
Take your time and thoroughly savour the desert landscapes in southern Namibia. We recommend that you
- never clock up more than 500 km in one day,
- do not drive faster than 80 km/h on gravel roads,
- spend at least two nights in every place.

		Gondwana Namib Park Gondwana Namib Park is situated about 60 km north of Sesriem (on the road to Sossusvlei) and 30 km south of Solitaire.


		From Windhoek (about 300 km): B 1 towards Rehoboth to the C 24 turnoff (tar road; about 90 km) C 24 to C 14 (gravel road; about 164 km) C 14 to Solitaire (gravel road; about 13 km) C 19 to Gondwana Namib Park, entrance about 30 km south of Solitaire (gravel road; about 30 km)

		From Gondwana Sperrgebiet Rand Park (about 400 km): B 4 to C 13 turnoff (tar road; about 3 km) C 13 to Helmeringhausen (well-maintained gravel road; about 105 km) C 14 to C 19 (gravel road; about 110 km) C 19 to Gondwana Namib Park, entrance about 30 km south of Solitaire (gravel road; about 180 km)

Before setting out, please double-check with your accommodation establishment that your directions are indeed correct, because street signs do not always correspond with all of the details on maps. Also ask about the current condition of roads.
